Moving to Mirador was the best decision I ever made. Working twenty-five hours a week as the Director of the Corpus Christi Chorale and Music Director at All Saints Episcopal Church, it eliminates care of a space, essentially. If a lightbulb goes out, I call down with a work order and maintenance is at my door. The yards are kept, the windows are washed, my apartment is cleaned every two weeks and I have wonderful food that is prepared for me. It’s a nice balance – if I want companionship, I have it or if I want to be alone, I have my own apartment to go home to. Here at Mirador, I get to choose that, moment by moment. The convenience of leaving my apartment for a few days – I don’t have to worry about it! Knowing that the gates are closed at night and we have concierge and courtesy officers available to us 24 hours a day makes me feel so safe. There is zero stress living here. I did not realize how home ownership was causing stress that I wasn’t aware of and now at Mirador all I have to do is get up and go!
