MRC Mirador’s new parent company comes to the Corpus Christi area with decades of experience and passion for serving seniors. Check out 5 important things that set MRC apart as the only not-for-profit in the Coastal Bend area.
1. Net revenues are reinvested back into the organization.
All revenues go back into operations rather than to shareholders. It is always about improving the lives of those we serve. Our goal is excellence and our motivator is our mission. No shareholders- only mission.
2. Continuous ownership by the same organization
MRC has been operating since 1962 and we now have multiple properties across Texas that serve a diverse population of seniors. In Corpus Christi, we intend to put down roots to effectively join the excellent service ministry happening every day at Mirador. We look forward to many decades and centuries to come serving the seniors of the Coastal Bend area.
3. Governed by a VOLUNTEER board of directors
MRC is guided by the servant leadership of our board of directors who are completely comprised of volunteers. They are mission driven people with nothing to lose. They keep us focused and passionate towards our mission at all times. Residents are always first!
4. Faith-based, mission driven organization
Our beginnings are inspired by Christian values and we continue to honor those values through our ICARE values to this day. Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence are the principals by which we train and guide our teams to always treat others the way that they want to be treated.
5. Charitable Care Available
Through the generosity of our donors, MRC has never asked a resident to leave because they outlived their resources through no fault of their own. We proudly support these residents through our Benevolent Care Fund despite their ability to pay. We proudly extend this time-honored program to the residents of Mirador.
