A new tradition entered into its second year at Mirador with their Earth Day Farmer’s Market event. Artisans and local produce growers filled the parking lot with their goods, allowing elders to shop and show support for their fellow neighbors. Not only is the event an opportunity to get a little sun, it’s also a chance to benefit Terra Madre Mini Farm, a local organic farm dedicated to providing fresh produce that is pesticide free to the area. Over $430 dollars was raised for the mini-farm to continue in their mission. “We love hosting this event each year because it seems to be the perfect way to welcome the spring and summer months,” said Ely Rhea, Lifestyles and Wellness Director, and coordinator of the event.
